Where do I go from here?

Have you ever asked yourself that? People try to help, but even you don't know what to do.

Pray for Sadie

I was watching the news a couple nights ago and saw a story on a little girl by the name of Sadie Huish. Sadie, a 5 year old little girl has a tumor on her brain stem and operation is not an option. Hearing this story brought me to tears. This family has remarkable courage! Sadie is such a strong girl. I could go on and on...but I don't want to get any facts wrong... so go and visit her blogspot at http://sadiehuish.blogspot.com/ PRAY FOR SADIE

R to the L to the S

RLS...known as Restless Legs Syndrome. Holy. Crap. Have you ever thought you were going to go insane? Well, then you've never had Restless Leg Syndrome!!! At night, I know when it's time for bed because when I'm up with my mom watching TV and my knees or ankles feel like I absolutely cannot hold them still any longer and i'm stretching and nothing for the life of me will work. The worst is when you're driving in the car and it happens in your ankles... there isn't much room to move, you feel like you're suffocating, you take your shoes off but that doesn't help... The best thing in the world is getting out of the car and walking around! OK, OK, so I'm a little weird!
So while I'm on this little rant.. I'm going to continue on :) I've had heartburn before and for those of you who don't get it, I'll put you in that lucky category. Well, since I've been pregnant it's been off and on... but when it's on, it's ON and it's a burn you have to fight with an extinguisher. It seems as thought I wouldn't get it for awhile then I would be thinking, 'I have been lucky, I haven't gotten heartburn for awhile!'.... Then low and behold, a couple days later I would get it. I'm in my third trimester and of course getting bigger and bigger week by week. WOW. Where's the extinguisher when you need one. Can anyone say TUMS??? I absofreakinlutely LOVE them and take them everywhere with me...ooohh I should be a spokesperson! ;) hee hee

Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday was a great day! My whole family was here! Jana Rae and Steve came from Ohio with their 5 kids and Kris and Bill came from Idaho with their 4 four kids...along with everyone that lives here. ---All in all, there was a total of 23 grandkids and 16 adults! That was the first time we have all been together in years!!! We took a family picture (just in our backyard) that i'll post once my sister emails them to me. :)
The talks are always great in Sacrament meeting, but there is always a sweet Spirit you feel on Easter and Christmas. The talks yesterday seemed to fill the room and inspire everyone. Between the talks, a lady got up and performed a piano solo that, to me was the highlight of sacrament meeting. She played I Know That My Redeemer Lives. That is one of my many favorite hymns and she played it beautifully! You couldn't help but have tears flowing... you didn't want her to stop...What is a long song, you wish could be longer!!

I have it back..and always had it!

Well, I went through my settings, my layout, reading through practically everything trying to figure out where my COLOR went for my posts. (If that makes any sense at all) I thought maybe I saved something wrong, maybe I clicked a button that took it away... I was so sad because I just wanted my COLOR back. I finally decided to come and blog to see if anyone could help me find it, when I clicked on 'Posting' then 'Create'. I saw the tab 'Compose'... come to find out, I was in 'Edit Html' this whole time. It's funny how the littlest things can make you so happy! haha I now have color back.. I always had, I was just in the wrong place.

Anyway, this weekend is Easter weekend, not only a time we get together with family but a time we celebrate Christ our Savior's death. How greatful I am for all that He did for each and everyone one of us. I do not know what I would do without the knowledge of Him in my life. I have His strength with me each day, I know I can call upon Him when I am struggling and I know that He loves me and loves everyone and died for all of us so that we can return to Him and our Father in Heaven.

He's coming back

I received this in an email from my sister. I enjoyed it and thought I would share it.....

Why did Jesus fold the napkin? Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after His resurrection? The Gospel of John (20:7) tells us that the napkin, which was placed over the face of Jesus, was not just thrown aside like the grave clothes. The Bible takes an entire verse to tell us that the napkin was neatly folded and was placed at the head of that stony coffin. Early Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. She ran and found Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved. She said, 'They have taken the Lord's body out of the tomb, and I don't know where they have put him!' Peter and the other disciple ran to the tomb to see. The other disciple out ran Peter and got there first. He stooped and looked in and saw the linen cloth lying there, but he didn't go in. Then Simon Peter arrived and went inside. He also noticed the linen wrappings lying there, while the cloth that had covered Jesus' head was folded up and lying to the side. Is that important? Absolutely! Is it really significant? Yes! In order to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have to understand a little bit about Hebrew tradition of that day. The folded napkin had to do with the Master and Servant, and every Jewish boy knew this tradition. When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure that it was exactly the way the master wanted it. The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait, just out of sight, until the master had finished eating, and the servant would not dare touch that table until the master was finished. Now if the master was done eating, he would rise from the table, wipe his fingers and mouth with that napkin and toss it on to the table. The servant would then know to clear the table. For in those days, the wadded napkin meant, 'I'm done.' But if the master got up from the table, and folded his napkin, and laid it beside his plate, the servant knew that the folded napkin meant, 'I'm not finished yet.' The folded napkin meant, 'I'm coming back!'

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Madelyn Mae Virchow

GiRlMy mom came into my room this morning at 2:30 a.m. telling me she was headed over to my brothers house because my sister-in-law's water had just broke. Well, this morning around 10:30 a.m. Carolyn had their precious little girl (after 3 boys), Madelyn Mae Virchow. She weighed 7 lbs 13 oz... my mom was in too much of a hurry to tell me how long she was ;) But Im very excited for them--especially for Carolyn, as she did look like she was going to pop at any moment!!! I can't wait to go see my new niece :)

It's A Sunshine Daaayyy! (sung from the Brady Bunch)

It is a sunshiney day today :) My desk faces Far West Bank and I get to see the beautiful weather all day long...Including the Time, Date and Temperature :) So far it has reached 64 degrees today! I don't know what it is, but I just feel very happy today. Maybe it's that I got my tax return direct deposited in my accout? I LOVE this time of year for that reason :) I'm not a money freak, but that extra sense of security is nice to know that that extra lump some is there for extra cusion.
Maybe I'm happy because my mom was, well my mom and bought me some new spring pants and shirt on Saturday. Have I mentioned I have the greatest mom? She is the best friend and the best mom out there, no offense to everyone else ;) But she's pretty awesome and has been there for me through everything and would do anything for anyone!
Maybe I'm happy because I finally got rid of my piece of crap phone Razr? Yeah, that could be it ;) After two years of suffering with a Razr, my contract was finally up March 5 to get a new phone! So, not only did I get one but I was able to talk my mom into getting one too...a red one! Ooohh Sexy Mama!
I love Daylight Savings.. I heard on the radio this morning some disgruntled guy arguing about it being in March this year. Personally, I absolutely love it not getting dark until 8:30 or 9:00 at night! Getting out of work and having a few more hours of daylight left! It's a sign of Spring :)
I look back on my blog and I read "Maybe I'm happy because.." Well, I am a happy person, and I always try to be. But today feels different. You know how some days are better than others. I guess for a Monday I feel great:)

The Rules of Life

My new hair! I look like I have a snaggle tooth though..oh well, the hair is the only important part you are looking at :) Anyway!
Love him or hate him, he sure hits the nail on the head with this! Bill Gates recently gave a speech at a High School about 11 things they did not and will not learn in school. He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world. He called it the Rules of Life.
Rule 1: Life is not fair - get used to it!

Rule 2 : The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

Rule 3 : You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.

Rule 4 : If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.

Rule 5 : Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it opportunity.

Rule 6: If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.

Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time.

Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.

If you can read this--Thank a teacher! :)

The Good and The Bad

I now don't get color as an option on my posts.. hmmm.. I'll just suffer through it I guess ;)
Everyone has their ups and their down days. I hate to be a Debbie Downer. I try to be positive, espically because I know that right now my hormones are wacked and my emotions are always up and down. The biggest and hardest thing for me right now is to see pictures of Ryan. I tell myself that he's out of my life that I don't want anything to do with him, but it's like fix.. I want to see what's going on in his life. I don't get in contact with him, there is no way in hell I would want to after what he has done. But I just want to see what he is up to. I look at his brothers myspace page with new posted pictures and everytime I do, I get so down and frustrated to see that he's having the time of his life and probably never thinks about his past. Im good friends with his cousin and he says he doesn't talk of me but knows that Blaine and I talk. I honestly don't know how one can live with oneself. But then I have to look at it on the positive side. The support that I do have from my family, friends and Jared and Amanda. A lot of people walked away from this situation in the beginning but a lot stuck with me and I'm so greatful for those that I do have to hold onto for support. I don't need Ryan, I never did, it's just very over frustrating for me the way he handled things and what harsh things he said.
On a more positive note I got my hair cut! Is that positive?? I think it is.. I was hesitant at first, I've been thinking about it for a couple months now. It's a new fresh look! I was talking to Carrie (who I work with) and she said that the girl that does her hair wouldn't cut her hair while she was pregnant because of the emotional ups and downs. I was thinking about waiting until after I have the baby, but my long hair was full of dead ends and getting so thin towards the ends I decided it was time for a change and a new look :) My hair is the shortest I have ever had it! No more ponytails in the morning when running late! uh-oh! But I love it!
