i carry your heart with me

i carry your heart with me (i carry it in
my heart) i am never without it (anywhere
i go you go, my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing, my darling)

i fear no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) i want
no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart ( i carry it in my heart)

Well I have lurked onto the site a few times here and there. Seeing that your sweet boy has been born urged me to comment. Love seeing others post through their journey. Brings back fresh feelings for me that weren't felt that long ago. My little girl just turn 10months old and placement will have happened 10months ago on July 5th. So grateful for adoption and how much it has grown. So grateful for the Gospel and the peace it can bring in the one of the most trying experiences of life. What a beautiful family. Sweet boy you have and a special angel. Love to see the support you have from your family. Always important to have support in such a big decision. You are amazing as I know most people have told you but you really are. Although I am a birthmother I find myself disconnecting from the fact that I placed my daughter since it is more like my family grew. Mike and Elisas family rock and I have gained an eternal friend. Who knew what unconditional love felt like until know. They have such uncondiitonal hearts. Grateful to be able to go forward in life. Not that this is for you but as a single mom to a 7yr old little girl I am currently going to be going through a custody battle with her dad. I can't say anymore then how grateful I am that I placed my daughter and that I don't have to deal with her birthfather. No child should be stuck in the middle of that kind of fit. So childish. So grateful for adoption and for you. For giving your son so much more. More then I think you or I can understand right now. Don't know what to say. Just feel so grateful for you. Prayers are with you each day that you get up and go forward and are richly blessed quickly. Loves from one birthmother to another.

Ashlee, that poem is so sweet. I'm going to have to add it to the book I'm making Max all about you. He will never doubt how much you love him! Love you!
